Happy Fall!

Fall Leaves
Hello Everyone,

Welcome back after your fun summer as we move into fall 2016! Fall always feels like a new year to me with projects and classes starting for all ages! Fall can be more scheduled and more organized - something we can have a tendency to resist! Fall is also a time to wrap up and stay warm! Warm scarves and cozy socks!

I have some ideas for you. My publisher and friend Louise Hay always says; it's never too late to start something new! So go ahead, join a class, take a training, make a pot of soup, and have a fabulous fall!

Many blessings,

A Book  I Like
Stoned: Jewelry, Obsession and How Desire Shapes the World

I did a lot of reading this summer. I find it relaxing, entertaining, and educational. It seems to be my summer - thing!

This summer I enjoyed a book titled Stoned: Jewelry, Obsession and How Desire Shapes the World, by Aja Raden. Raden studied ancient history and physics at the University of Chicago and, during that time, worked as the Head of Auction Division at the famed House of Kahn. Raden weaves stories and history around famous jewels, and how desire over the centuries has been the cornerstone of perceived worth and value.

Write Your Story

There is nothing more rewarding than writing your own story. If you are looking for a wonderful professional editor, I recommend the services of Erica Osburn at Imagine your words and phrases coming alive on the page with that specific "turn of phrase" that only a professional editor can do! I have written several books. The finished product, after a professional edit, is always a far cry from my original first draft! I see lots of self-published books and now you can even publish your own book on - but make sure you engage the services of a professional editor - before you debut your story and launch your media campaign. Then expect to be successful!

No obligation quotes and a sample edits are available Here!

Make a Pot of Soup!

Creamy Red or Yellow Lentil Soup:

In a large pot, saute' one large onion in 2 tbsp olive oil. Add 1 medium chopped carrot and 2 red beets, peeled and chopped. Saute' all vegetables until translucent.

Add 6 cups water and 1 cup of red or yellow dried lentils, and ½ tsp salt.

Stir and simmer all ingredients over medium heat.

Add 3 dried bay leaves to soup and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaves and add 2 tbsp red wine vinegar - for zip and flavor. Let soup cool, then puree in small batches. Garnish with chopped dill. Serves 6.

I love These Socks

Alapaca Socks from Open Herd Farms

Four years ago at my annual Medical Intuitive Training, I met Linda MacKey from Prosser Washington. Prosser is a town in Eastern Washington situated on the Yakima River. On the second day of the training, Linda presented me with a lovely pair of alpaca Socks. As soon as I touched the socks - I knew they were a very special gift. The socks can be purchased by calling the Linda's office (Natural Maximum Inc) at 509-786-3419. She and her husband James operate an alpaca farm. The alpaca socks come in men's and ladies sizes small to large, trouser and outdoor boot socks. The boot socks are great for keeping feet warm in or out of boots. The colors available: black, navy, tan, brown, gray, and blue jean. Ladies and men's boot socks are $16.50 a pair and the trouser dress socks are $13.50 for a single pair of ladies and 2 pair for $20.00. The men's trouser dress socks are $14.00 a single pair and $22.00 for 2 pairs. All alpaca socks are 60% alpaca and 40% nylon and are washing machine safe. I love my alpaca socks - and now I have two new pairs! Fall would not be fall without those alpaca socks! Take a look at their website - people are doing such great things!
